Dishes and Utensils

Do you know how most vacation rentals ensure their dishes get regularly cleaned? They don’t provide enough of them! They force the guests to do dishes after every meal or else there will be nothing available for them to use next time.

We take a different approach. Our kitchens are very well stocked. We provide lots of dishes and glassware and cutlery for our guests. But that isn’t an invitation to not clean up after yourself. Please do keep everything clean and don’t let it pile up. If not, it can make for a huge bunch of work on check-out day, and that is never fun for guests, and an unpleasant surprise if they weren’t expecting to take care of it, but yes… please clean all of the dishes you use.

Don’t set yourself up for a disappointing last day! Keep on top of things as you go along. Enjoy the extras we provide, but don’t use it as an excuse to let things get away from you either.

Cooking often means leftovers. We provide quality resealable storage containers for our guests use in the fridge. Please don’t remove them by taking them to the parks or home at your departure. You will also find a great stock of disposable containers which we and our guests have saved for times like this. Use a good, clean former cottage cheese or yogurt container to take snacks to the beach, and just dispose of it in the trash when done. But please leave the good stuff for in-house use, and the next guests, thanks! 😉

And please, NEVER remove cutlery from the property, nor store it in the fridge. For example, too many spoons are lost when they get put in the freezer inside ice cream containers, and our cleaners dispose of them after departure. It may not seem like a big deal, but a few pieces lost and an entire set of cutlery is no longer complete. We want to put out quality accessories for our guests, so please take care with them so that they will be there upon your return.

In addition to lots of recycled clean containers, you will find disposable plastic cutlery you are welcome to take with you and dispose of on your outings.
