The place was as described. Had problems with internet first 3 days that we were there. Only had Roku TV with no on time local TV channels. Wouldn’t stay there again too many emails from owner.

1) Internet services are provided by a 3rd party, free for our guests, at our expense. Frontier Communications chose to replace their ONTerminal, as it wasn’t working properly, for the first time in eight years since owning the property. Your comments don’t reflect the herculean task of getting this diagnosed, and the hours of work we completed (beside’s Frontier) in the absolute fastest time possible to minimize inconvenience to you. We can’t be responsible for 3rd party services, and your understanding is appreciated.

2) The April, 2020 bankruptcy of our former Cable provider means that old-style cable services are no longer available at the villa. We invested those funds in faster internet service. The Hulu+ TV Streaming service that we pay for and provide to our guests, free of charge on all TVs, provides over 2500 tv series and movies PLUS the following LOCAL LIVE channels; WFTV9-ABC, abc Localish, News6, Fox35Orlando, myTV, WESH2-NBC, Telemundo31, and CW; in addition to 12 live News Channels, 15 live Sports Channels, plus others, for a total of 71 LIVE channels. If any of our guests are having trouble accessing it, a quick email or phone call will get all the assistance you need to enjoy this service, plus our website and Online Home Manual & Area Guide App provide full details as well.

3) With regard to a lot of emails… I must plead guilty as charged. We DO send a lot of emails to our guests, with the intent of being helpful only, and providing full & complete information on their stay & how to make the best of it.

We also provide a complete website, an Online Home Manual & Area Guide, and also an offline smart phone APP version so our guests always have it with them, PLUS guests receive my personal home and cell phone numbers, AND we provide free calling in North America from the villa so help is always at hand. All of these are not meant to be burdensome, only helpful and supportive.

I do understand that for some folks, particularly those who don’t like to read, it can appear a bit much. Plus if a guest books last-minute they’ll get a big information dump in a short period of time. It’s hard to balance being helpful & complete against too much info, but we really do try.

During their stay, guests are left alone to enjoy it & we only send a thank-you.

Our pre-arrival information consistently wins enthusiastic praise in reviews, so hopefully we’re achieving this goal the majority of the time! 🙂
