Now…

If you came here looking for the ‘An Unfortunate Week’ Review, you can actually still see it.
Here’s the story: In a belief in total honest and transparency, we have published our reviews on this site, including some bad ones. One of the worst ones was submitted to a number of places around the web, including Google itself, by a guest who turned out to be one of these ridiculous perennial complainer-types who figured that by making up reasons to complain that it would entitle them to a refund on their stay. And they basically demanded a refund and threatened to leave a bunch of negative reviews around the web if they didn’t get it.

They even made up or used multiple accounts to leave multiple negative reviews for us (they also did this to a number of other unfortunate victims of theirs…) something that is against Google’s (and just about everybody else who hosts online reviews) policy. Of course, Google doesn’t care… they’re like small-minded school kids who love gossip – it gets them attention – and they refused to remove the offending reviews when we requested it. (And interestingly enough, Google has also refused to publish genuine positive reviews for us that we have received, even from highly rated ‘certified’ Google reviewers, deeming them to be phoney and not worth publishing! How nice… this leaves us with a terrible online rating as far as Google is concerned.)

So, I decided to fight fire with fire, and published the offending review here on our website, with a full response. And what does Google do? Choose that ONE review, titled “An Unfortunate Week” and highlight in our Google Search results (see the picture). THIS is what they decide to highlight from this website? A site with over 300 pages, and they choose THAT? What gives Google? Do you just have a hate-on for us? It is mind boggling that huge companies like that waste their time picking on tiny little guys like us! And we’re powerless to fight back!

Well enough is enough! I’ve changed the offending review, given it a new name and de-listed it from search engines so it can’t be seen from that link. And hopefully, with enough time, Google’s search results page will see the offending page removed too!
